LASER VAPOURISATION FOR ENLARGED PROSTATE
sep

After having performed hundreds of PVP procedures, and based on the excellent clinical results and very high patient satisfaction,
I am firmly convinced that PVP is a major advancement in the surgical treatment of the enlarged prostate.

What is GreenLight?

GreenLight Laser Therapy Creating A New Standard of Care
sep
The GreenLight™ Laser Therapy is a treatment that combines the effectiveness of the traditional surgical procedure known as "Trans Urethral Resection of the Prostate" (TURP) with fewer side effects.
satisfied patient
GreenLight is suitable for most patients with an enlarged prostate. With over 200,000 procedures performed worldwide, the GreenLight procedure is creating a new standard of care — a standard that offers freedom from enlarged prostate symptoms. Most patients return home a few short hours after the PVP procedure and can return to normal, non-strenuous activities within days. 3, 4, 11 The GreenLight laser system delivers the ultimate benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) solution — free from urinary symptoms, free from compromise, free to go!

The GreenLight™ Solution:
  • Rapid urine flow improvement 5
  • Quick return to normal activities 3
  • Virtually bloodless procedure4,10
  • Less than 1% reported cases of erectile dysfunction8
  • Short to sometimes no catheterization 4,10 (less than 24 hours in most cases)
  • Outpatient procedure in otherwise healthy patients 3
  • Long lasting symptom relief 4
  • Over 200,000 procedures worldwide

prostate procedure

The GreenLight™ laser system used to perform Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP) for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).It provides a definitive treatment solution that delivers the objective outcomes of TURP with the lowest rate of adverse events of any interventional BPH treatment.

prostate procedure
Dramatic urine flow improvement, rapid symptom relief, minimal side-effects, preservation of sexual function and long lasting durability are the hallmarks of this breakthrough treatment and the reason Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate using the GreenLight laser system is quickly becoming the new standard of care for BPH.

Economics Benefits to the HealthCare System
sep
The GreenLight laser system reduces healthcare costs by delivering a virtually bloodless treatment with minimal to no catheterization, quick recovery times and minimal side effects.

The Measure of Success
sep
There are many BPH treatments available, but only the PVP procedure using the GreenLight laser system achieves success by every measure.
  • Rapid and long-lasting symptom relief
  • Exceptional clinical endpoints with low risk of side effects
  • High level of safety and patient satisfaction
  • Economic benefits to all healthcare systems

Side effects
sep
Post-operative side effects, if any, have been minimal and transient. Patients usually feel well within several days of the procedure, but full recovery can take several weeks(6-8). Some blood in the urine is common during the recovery process off and on.This is harmless, and rarely requires treatment. It is common to have decreased fluid with ejaculation after this or any prostate surgery and some cases ejaculation can be dry.Orgasm is however normal. Changes in ejaculation are less with PVP than with TURP.
